Alt key interrupts OS

Hello,

I have a problem whilst running Stage Video. When pressing the 'Alt' key, the video runs either very slow or quick (depending on the system it's running on).

I have heard that the 'Alt' key bypasses flash and invokes the OS directly. So this is probably not a Stage Video issue directly, it's just the evidence of my problem. Is there a way to stop this?
