Ran into some issues when working with Adobe FMS. Here is an example of the sharedObjected I was creating.

var whiteBoard:SharedObject = SharedObject.getRemote("myRemoteData",nc.uri,false);

whiteBoard.setProperty ("contents",{sectionName:"draw", lastname:"koehn", age:"40", XMLString:xmlString});

This works while inside Flash and when you create an EXE. It doesn't work in SWF Studio 3.8. I found I had to change it to read.

var whiteSettings:String ="draw|"+xmlString;
var whiteBoard:SharedObject=SharedObject.getRemote("myRemoteData",nc.uri,false);
whiteBoard.setProperty ("myRemoteData",whiteSettings)

At the receiving end I split the receiving information using the "|" symbol.

It's odd that it works with a string but not with an object. Flash shouldn't care, the setProperty call should be able to serialize the data no matter what it is or who's hosting the Flash player.

Is the xmlstirng variable really a string or is it an XML object?

Does this fail if you pass any object as the value parameter to setPorperty?
