New eSellerate Plugin for SWF Studio

Hello all.

I'm here to answer any questions you have about the eCommerce Plugin. I hope you all find it useful. To celebrate the launch of this forum I'd like offer everyone 10% off the price by using the coupon code 'northcode' when you purchase the eCommerce Plugin for SWF Studio.

Hi Mark!

Great addition to the line-up but wanted to mention not all of us SWf Studio users rely on Flash 8 proper and wonder if you will be adding a demo that is based on either Flash 7 or one of our supported third party apps (Swishmax or Koolmoves)? If the reason is that the code requires a Flash 8 core movie the third party apps (both) support Flash 8 exports.

Chris

That's what I get while trying to write this and put the kids to bed at the same time. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for the welcome!

Hi Chris,

I'll look into Flash 7 next week and see what I can do. First I'll have to check if the plugin works with F7 since I've only tested in F8. I'm not familiar with Swishmax or koolmoves so I'll have to do some research on those as well.

If you have any links to demos and example files for SwishMax and koolmoves that would help speed things up.

I'm not trying to push any particular platform but cannot open flash 8 source and wonder if the demo will always be based on it (which is fine of course).

In flash 8 you have the ability to "save as" into the Flash 7 FLA OR Flash 8 FLA format.

I recently had to do that for someone that still has Flash MX. I assume they were able to open it, they didn't say they couldn't.

That's all I see for being able to save the FLA in other formats from Flash 8.

It's fine as-is. Forget I mentioned it. Good luck with the package

Hey Mark

Does your plugin support all of esellerate's options?
Mainly, the in app activation & embedded web store option.

Also, have you ever done anything for Regnow?

Thanks a bunch

Hi Mark,

I have just tried to download the demo from your site, but the link seems to be broken. Is it still available?? I use WorldPay at the moment, but am thinking of maybe switching to eSellerate, so I would like to know more about your plug-in.

Thanks

Paul

There's an update on Mark's site made on October 17th, 2007 that might explain the lack of activity...

Wow! It’s been almost a year. What the hell happened? Well, after 4 years of Indie work, I took a full time job Jan 1st, 2007 but started to transition to working full time Nov. 2006. I’ve been so busy that I neglected most of my personal projects. more...
It looks like the download links on http://www.flash-plugins.com are no good anymore. I'll get in touch with Mark and see what his plans are.

Me too real soon.

I like Regnow too, but esellersate is a close 2nd & would work just fine.

I just got a response from Mark.

The eCommerce plugin hasn't been abandoned...

I just changed servers and have been updating the links on all my sites. I must have forgotten these. I'll have them fixed by tonight.

Yup, I'm still here and working on it. I'm currently reviewing all of eSellerate's updates and will update the plug-in as needed.

It does not support the embedded web store but if there is enough interest I'll see if I can add it or make a new plug-in.
