SQLite Connector Trial available!
Dear Members,
I´m happy to announce the first public release of the SQLite Connector! At last an embeddable Database for your Flash & SWF Studio Projects! The API is similar to SWF Studio, you should not have any problems in getting familar with the Connector. The Connector comes with full Documentation and an Example that shows most of the commands in action. Currently, only the Trial version is available. However, the full feature set is availabe in the Trial, so you will be able to start developing your Apps with the Connector until the licensed version becomes available, which allows you to use the Connector in commercial projects. Well, enough words, let´s go! First, if you do not use SWF Studio currently, you may want to download a compiled exe version which will show you an example. This is handy if you want to check out the power and performance of the Connector by simply doubleclicking on an exe file. The zip file contains the Sample exe and two Databases, one is encoded. http://www.Software-and-Solutions.de/img/sqlite.jpg Get it here: Zipped SQLite exe Example And if you can´t wait to start developing with SQLite, go ahead and grab the SPX containing the full well-commented source of the above example, the Help File and the sample DBs from my Homepage: http://www.Software-and-Solutions.de Please post any feedback in here. Thank you and have a great Week André Goliath |

Hi Elfy,
the licensed version will be available for public as soon as the City of Aachen solves the big mystery on 'how to allow a company to run an online shop' and 'how to assign an VAT-ID-Number to a company',... You know, somethimes Germany is not what I would call "user-friendly",... However, if you need a License immediatly please contact me at Sales@Software-and-Solutions.de Thanks Jhon, great to hear! |

I am in need of something free and as I understand it, the Connector is not?
If it indeed is not, can I use the same easy commands mentioned earlier with the ADO plugin on a MySQL database? |

Hi Tim,
yes, the license fee is 30€, the licensed Version should be available next Week at latest. However, only the developer who is developing with the Connector needs to buy a licence, there are no further royalities. May I ask why you are in need of a free solution? The ADO Plugin is capable of quering mySQL databases. However, it´s big disadvantage is that it needs a server running to connect to. SQLite is purely stand-alone. hth AGo |
